In Alonissos you will find a wide variation of different beach types, so even the most diificult types of visitors they will find a suitable beach for their needs.
According to a local fisherman who counted all the beaches of the island, all of them are about 51 in total. Of course it is impossible to show you all the places in our website but we have picked some to have an idea what you will find in our island. In all of them you have access by road.
The biggest and organised beaches are at the south side of the island like the port of Patitiri. In the majority of those places you have access by asfalt road, you will find tavernas, umbrellas and various facilities there.
So if you like the sand like families with children, you should visit Chrissi Milia, Tzortzi Yialo and Milia, the most picturesque ones are Kokkinokastro and Agios Dimitrios, Lefto Yialo and Megalos Mourtias are well known for their good tavernas, and all the places from the north side plus Mikros Mourtias and Vithisma are suitable for couples or persons who want more privacy. |
